So I have now been in CAIN since late November. I warned my soldiers how "gay" MOB training is, but when we got here everyone thought I was crazy. The first few weeks here, training went so smooth, and it was pretty good stuff. We qual'd on our weapons, did basic movement techniques, and other stuff. Overall it was good training, and I was starting to believe that 1st Army had changed and made MOB'ing actually worth it. BOY WAS I WRONG!
We started doing some very lame training. VCOT (Virtual Convoy Training), Virtual this, Virtual that, Powerpoints on how talk to people, powerpoints on how to stand in a guard tower, powerpoints, stupid training, more powerpoints! This latest batch of 4 days of training by USAID on how to properly "interview" Afghans on the streets. They have no fucking clue what our job is, or what we are doing overseas. We are not Civil Affairs...we are INFANTRY. Try telling a trained killer that everyone in Afghanistan is so nice, and they love soldiers and blah blah blah... and you know what happens? You get soldiers throwing their black "rememberance bands" that they wear on their wrist at her and saying "OH SO EVERYONE IS PEACEFULL IN AFGHANISTAN? WELL I GUESS THEY ALL DIED ON ACCIDENT". These USAID people are such hippie fucks, its rediculous. I have never been so angry during training. Its like they think they can brainwash us into thinking eveyone is so nice, we shouldnt even need to deploy.
I wanted to write more in this post, but
